Camp 1

Yesterday we made the long, hard climb to Camp 1. The team is doing well and is in good spirits after a slow, arduous walk with a lot of heavy gear. The beauty around us is breathtaking and worth the hard work. The temperature overnight is fiercely cold -- around -32C. We are expecting to do an acclimatization walk today up to approximately 10,000 feet. Stay posted.

After reading your route overview, looking at the pictures and videos and perusing the web for anything to do with Denali I now realise what an incredible adventure you are on. I must say part of me wishes I was there. I will continue to live vicariously through your updates. I look forward to hearing all about it when you get back. Be Safe! :)
